The range of behavioral attributes among dogs and puppies is as wide as the range of physical appearance attributes.

Most truly passionate dog breeders devote all of their time and effort to just one breed of dog.
Step three. Dog breeders list, now look for those who place the health and temperament of the dog breed high on their list. Most of these breeders will offer you a written health guarantee on all of their puppies and dogs for sale. In these cases, the parents of the puppies for sale have been tested for the most common breed-specific inherent diseases. Avoid known puppy mills, puppy brokers, backyard breeders, and stores that sell multiple breeds at all costs. Why you ask, because most pet stores buy their puppies for sale from puppy mills, puppy brokers, and backyard breeders. These types of breeders focus on profit, with little or no regard for health and temperament. Their pups are often in poor health and become a huge burden with regards to medical bills or worse, heart pain due to a shorter than normal lifespan. They also tend to be nervous, suspicious and difficult to train, and can develop behavior problems that can never be overcome by even the most patient and loving owner.
