Ask anyone: “Where is Malta located?” and he or she is very likely to reply that he or she has never heard of Malta. To be fair, it is mostly non-Europeans who have generally not heard of the Maltese islands. With the introduction of cheap flights to Malta, this has gradually changed in recent years.

So where is Malta located?

This indicates the great smallness of the island. The Maltese archipelago mainly consists of three islands, namely Malta, Gozo and Comino. Malta, the largest, is only 316 square kilometers and crossing the island from one side to the other by car will take just over an hour (if you don’t account for traffic).
