What is a shirt?

Since daily bathing was not common in the Middle Ages, the shirt was the undergarment that would absorb body oils or dirt and was much easier to wash and wear regularly than heavy ornate outer garments.

It can be worn not only as a lingerie, but also as a seductive nightwear or as a top over tight pants or leggings. Fashion designers have done it in a big way and have become very well known by focusing on designing sexy lingerie and nightwear.

Although the shirt is still worn as a petticoat under a dress, in the latest trends it is more commonly used as a nightwear or as an erotic and sensual lingerie item. A camisole made of sheer or see-through lace material also looks great and very fashionable when worn over a plain top or bra like clubwear or party wear. A wide variety of different styles, materials and colors are the reason why every woman should have a greater number of shirts in her lingerie collection. When worn as a nightgown, a camisole can be a long garment or a short but loose garment.

The difference between shirt and babydoll

The shirt is similar to the doll, but not the same. A babydoll generally falls loosely from the chest to just above the hips, thus exposing a woman’s panties and buttocks. The camisole, on the other hand, fits more closely to the body and stretches over the butt area, similar to a minidress.

Unlike the babydoll that often has decorative ribbons attached to a bra brief, a camisole can be a simpler, simpler, yet very sexy garment.
