One of the main reasons you should be proactive about your dog’s ear and tooth health

A family dog bit his son in the face when the boy hugged his dog. The dog was euthanized.
At autopsy, the dog was found to have two severe ear infections. The dog simply reacted to extreme pain when the boy hugged him.
This article is about ear infections… but could also include dental infections and toothaches.
IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU BE AWARE OF YOUR DOG/CAT’S HEALTH STATE IN REGARD TO ITS EARS AND TEETH. THESE CAN BE SO PAINFUL THAT A PET WILL EXHAUST WHEN TOUCHED – NOT FROM AGGRESSION, BUT BECAUSE ITS INTENSE PAIN MAKES IT AN AUTOMATIC REACTION.
Unfortunately, the health condition of this particular dog was neglected by its owners. And his youngest son clutched his severely infected ear. This dog was already in constant agony. The dog reacted purely on instinct. The owners were responsible here, they should have seen the symptoms in their dog, and they should have recognized that their dog had hearing problems. They put their dog to sleep and never realized that he could have been prevented entirely.
Most of us know the agony of an ear infection. You need to be aware of HOW to recognize these infections and what to do about them.
There are numerous reasons why dogs get ear infections. Some breeds, such as Labradors and Goldens, are even prone to contracting them. Ear infections usually start very mild and begin on the outside of the ear. And then they progress to the agony of the dog.
Here are some reasons why a dog has ear infections:
– Wet ears.
– An accumulation of grass, dust, moths. You know how dogs love to roll around in the grass.
– A bacterial infection.
– Allergies to the environment or even to your food.
These are some of the symptoms of an ear infection:
– The most obvious, is constantly scratching one or both ears.
– The ear smells bad when you put your nose close to it.
– As soon as you let him out he rubs his ear against the fence, or falls to the ground rubbing his ear.
– Moans and grunts when scratching his ear.
If you don’t control this, the pain becomes unbearable (just like it is with humans). You should take your dog to the vet and treat this infection. A dog may even become dizzy, lose balance, and even vomit.
Take your dog to the vet to have his painful conditions treated. Know these problems in your dog, toothaches and earaches are horrible conditions and when they are seized in agony, nature will cause the pet to react!
