The latest 2007 Land Cruiser model comes with a host of new features, including built-in Bluetooth hands-free technology, DVD entertainment, and a sumptuous interior that has had its edges softened. Land Cruiser is a prestige model of the Japanese car manufacturer Toyota Motor Corporation. It is a series of popular four-wheel drive sports utility vehicles. Land Cruiser was first designed in 1951. However, the first model came out in 1954 under the Toyota Jeep label. After that, Toyota Land Cruiser has undergone many transformations. Some of them include convertibles, hardtops, station wagons, and even station wagons.

A Toyota designer explained the origin of the Land Cruiser: “Growing up after the war, I was very impressed with the US Army personnel Jeeps…and how they could climb and overcome obstacles. I decided that one day I would make a similar type of ‘mobile’, something more like an animal or an insect than a car, that might work even better.”

The Toyota Land Cruiser is available with many options in 2007. Exteriors come with aerodynamic multi-reflectors, halogen headlamps with daytime running lights (DRL), and auto on/off function. Fog lights are also integrated into the model. There’s also a full-time 4WD system with a locking center differential.

The newer model also comes with an all-weather protection package. This package includes a heavy-duty battery, starter motor and washer fluid tank; rear seat heating ducts. Color-matched front and rear bumpers and body side moldings give the new Toyota Land Cruiser a great appearance from the outside. Front and rear frame-mounted tow hooks add to that look. Vehicle-color dual heated power outside mirrors are a big plus. UV-reducing privacy glass helps protect travelers from ultraviolet radiation.

Interiors:

The leather-wrapped power tilt and telescoping steering wheel with audio controls and leather-wrapped shift knob is a definite must-have for this legendary vehicle and is provided with this new version. There’s also a power tilt/slide glass moonroof with sunshade and one-touch open/close operation with jam protection. The auto-dimming electrochromic rearview mirror with compass is also provided with the 2007 model year. The multifunction remote keyless entry system with integrated key and panic feature is a great addition for this historic Land Cruiser.

This 2007 model also includes 3-point automatic/emergency locking retractor seat belts in all second-row outboard and center seating positions; 2-point lap belt in the center position of the third row. Driver and front passenger seat-mounted side airbags and side curtain airbags in the first and second rows are standard on this model.

Child Restraint System (CRS) top anchorages and ISO-FIX lower anchor points. This option, together with the child-protective rear door locks, helps to protect children effectively.

Prices:

With all of these additions in the new 2007 version, Toyota pegged the starting price for its legendary Land Cruiser at $56,215. Depending on the accessories and the place of delivery, the price may vary slightly.
