It’s all the rage to get rid of pop-ups once and for all!

How many times does it seem like we’re browsing the internet and click on a website or article and another pop-up appears? Then we have to click away from it until maybe another one appears. What can we do to stop this mess once and for all?

Popups are programmed using a very simple programming language called JavaScript. I didn’t know what this was until I ran into trouble. JavaScript is specifically designed for use on websites and can be used in conjunction with HTML. So JavaScript can be very annoying most of the time. The most annoying type of popups are the ones that open more popups as you close them. You can end up with literally hundreds of popup windows and you will have to at least close the original browser window, if not the entire computer.

Not only are popups annoying, popup blockers are freely available in most web browsers. When was the last time you read a popup or underlying ad? When one squeaks next to my popup blocker, I immediately close it without a second thought.

One thing to look for to avoid is system error and spyware infection ads. These ads will confuse many visitors and make them disappear. These ads appear on your face with a message like “your computer is infected with spyware, click here for a free scan.” These ads don’t know anything about the user’s computer; they are just trying to trick you into buying an inferior product. There are also “innocent” pop-ups with the sole intention of taking you to a website to sell a product.

What you should be aware of, however, is that these can be of a malicious variety. These install adware on your computer without your knowledge or consent. Now how annoying can that be? This can cause your computer to “freeze” and sometimes you may not have a choice and just restart your computer at that point.

Buying a pop-up blocker can be a very effective way to stop both the annoyance and the danger. There are free versions on the Internet, but it is recommended to opt for a trusted paid service. They will have more up-to-date software to ensure your continued security.

Paid software can help you get rid of pop-ups that appear right when you’re connected to the Internet. If you haven’t been infected with the popup blocker yet, you might have Firefox for your internet and you can download a popup blocker directly from their site. Try to get rid of any popup you may have right away. Also, we don’t need more stress added to our lives! Good luck!!!
