Being Approved by God – A Passionate Relationship Through Love, Surrender, Obedience and Intimacy!

We are told in 2 Timothy 2:15 that “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. Other versions say study to show yourself approved before God.”

We all want the approval of others to reinforce our self-esteem, it is part of being human. I know people who are paralyzed in their minds, unable to move forward in life and almost all of them Christians, who pathetically seek all kinds of approval at every moment of their lives in order to temporarily feel better. When we start looking around every corner for approval to quantify who we are and our self-worth, we leave the Christian life behind and walk in the flesh with an obsession that takes control of our lives and before we know it, the Holy Spirit is gone. nowhere. that is inside, because we have allowed this beast to take over our lives. The deplorable thing is that it does not have to be that way and when we study the word of God we find that He has not forgotten anything; everything we need for this life has been included in the Scriptures for our benefit.

I suspect that one of the reasons why as Christians we fail to observe what we are told in 2 Timothy 2:15, is because we have been deceived and bought into that watered down Christianity that we have come to know in the 21st century, while we are advised. in Colossians 2:8 that they not get caught up and that they take care not to let themselves be taken captive by anyone through their philosophies and vain subtleties. Approved by God, when we delve into the meaning, we realize that there is a component of the word approved that calls us to be tested by God so that we can become acceptable according to His standards, holy and righteous people who find grace before His eyes. It is extremely important that we understand that being approved by God has nothing to do with how good or bad we are, or how amazing our career or our status or our material possessions are. What matters is how well we receive his words within us, as they become part of who we are through the process of transformation as God weaves them internally into our daily lives. It is about living a sacrificial and constant life of intimacy with Him through the joy, the learning process, the real experience of being filled with Him, the loneliness of the soul as it passes through the narrow gate.

It is also about the destruction that is taking place internally as He rebuilds us anew. We experience the joy of the Holy Spirit in our hearts, the agony of the dark night of the soul, the pain of being humiliated internally and externally by Him before the gift of humility is forged; the learning process that takes place at his feet that makes you feel like your mind is exploding as you focus and strive to spiritually keep up with the Holy Spirit; the soul that cannot be extinguished, the passion that if God does not stop it for you will make your heart explode, the reality of the Spirit and the inner soul, and so on. All of these things that are part of the process of being transformed as little christ, at least those who truly swear allegiance to the King, we review here and now to prepare for life in Heaven. The Christian life that pleases him is a life of intimacy based on living his word with complete obedience and total abandonment to him. Then he speaks to our soul and gives us the stamp of approval. You carry this approval of His with you and it permeates your soul, day by day and nothing in this world can compare to it, then you become aware of how pathetic you were when you sought the approval of insignificant beings for you. self esteem when you have a God bigger than the universe can contain telling you Well done my son, I have delighted in you.. Who cares about the man’s approval after such an experience?
