Black, white or stainless?

In our kitchen where we live we have all black appliances. Now I have to admit that this is my personal favorite. I like black because of the dark look it has. Not everything is shiny and elegant like some of the whites and stainless steels. This is why I also have to put up with fingerprint smudges on everything I own that is black. It doesn’t matter if it’s a refrigerator or a black shirt, you’ll end up staining something. But black has always attracted me, so I still like it and enjoy it.

If you’re a flawless person, then I’m sure you have a little more money to spend than a lot of us around here. Stainless steel typically costs 1.5 times more than traditional black and white. It looks great and with the right touch in the right kitchen, you can create something that looks spectacular. I have a few family members that have stainless steel and it goes really well with the granite countertops they have in the kitchen. The stainless steel appliances and black granite go together very well in my opinion. Now I’m sure if you asked a woman she would tell you this is too basic but I like basic I think it looks better.

If you like white appliances, that’s fine too. They have a very basic look and don’t add much to a room. We’ve all had white appliances, but more often than not as we get older, for one reason or another, we transition from white to black to stainless steel. Most of the people I know who have stainless steel appliances are much older than me. It’s actually quite interesting when you think that age has anything to do with the type of appliances you choose, but it is what it is.

Whether you choose black, white, or stainless steel, it really is the same. The goal is to keep things cold and cook them, so in the end, make sure it works!
