Starcraft II – Zerg Queen SC2 Guide and Strategy

The queen may be one of the most versatile units in the zerg, if not in the entire game. She provides a lot of support and help to all the other units and should definitely be looked into. All great zerg players have the ability to use their queen effectively!

Zerg Queen Strategy

As you probably already know, the queen is a ground unit that attacks for spikes. Queens are strong against demons, mutalisks, and void rays; unfortunately, they are weak against units like Marines, Zerglings, and Zealots.

So if you’re seeing an early onslaught of marines, zealots, or zerglings, it’s best to keep your queens out of the way.

To build the queen, you’ll need to build her from the hatchery, she comes out of the hatchery, so you won’t have to transform her into a larva. It’s a great little characteristic of the zerg. And it requires a spawn group to start creating.

Like most creatures, the queen can burrow, can create crawling tumors to help your units (makes your zerglings much faster), and can spawn larvae.

These larvae are key because they can drastically increase your production count and add tons of units.

However, one underrated trait of queens is their ability to use transfusion, which can actually restore 125 hit points to a unit or bio structure, which means queens are especially useful when you’re rushing someone and need something. hp support, or they can be used when your buildings, i.e. the expansion is under attack (mixed with other units of course)

Some nice improvements

Queens have some nice upgrades, including better missile attack and a better shell that can help you boost your armor and defense. It’s going to require a den than a hive to get its full potential, but it’s worth it in the end! These are key if you are trying to be successful and create a wonderful opportunity for yourself!
