Eat a healthy breakfast for busy people

You’ve always heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But there are so many people who do not follow this rule! They say they just don’t have time and grab a cup of coffee and a donut on the way out the door, if they eat anything at all! Eating healthy first thing in the morning is quite doable, even if you’re super busy and always racing against the clock. Read on to find out how.

One of the things you need in your diet is protein. And, this is very easy to do. You can have some hard-boiled eggs cooked ahead of time and in the refrigerator. As you head out the door, just grab one or two and they’re easy to eat on the go. Or if you’re a toasty person, spread some peanut butter on that bread. Peanut butter is a great source of protein and will keep you feeling full longer.

Grains and calcium are easy enough to fit into your morning if you eat cereal. You get the grains from the cereals and the calcium from the milk. Yogurt is also a good source of calcium and is easy to eat on the go. Whole grain muffins are also a great way to get your grains in, and can also be made the night before and taken on the go.

Fruits can be quite easy to fit into your morning routine. If you’re eating cereal, just add some fruit. You can also cut up some fruit the night before and eat it with breakfast. Plus, apples and bananas are easy on the go if you don’t have time for a sit-down breakfast. And don’t forget fruit juice in the morning, a great way to fit a serving of fruit into your day.

As you can see, it can be quite easy to fit the servings of the food groups you need into your morning meal. There is no need to skip breakfast, which you know is not good for you. You need this food to fuel you through the day and to jump-start your metabolism. With a little proper planning and the right grocery shopping, you can have a healthy breakfast. And probably quicker than going down that road at the fast food restaurant for something that’s not good for you!
